Born in 1959, David Brown has had an intense interest in photography since an early age. In high school, he realized that his creative interests were somewhat outside the mainstream. Throughout his life, he has taken still photographs and experimented with various black and white darkroom techniques along with other non-photographic media. David earned a degree in Mathematics from the University of Kansas in 1984, moved to Helsinki, Finland for a year with his wife, then settled in Denver, Colorado after returning to the USA. For several years after returning to America, David searched for a way to fuse his interest in found objects with his passion for visual arts. His path became clear when he first experimented with digital graphics in 1993. The ability to manipulate the appearance of object and place over time was exactly what he had been looking for. The next decade was spent acquiring the skills and technology to actualize his vision. David has been making digital video movies since 2002.
